LifeSharers Members Newsletter
July, 2008

MEMBERSHIP UPDATE

As of June 30, 2008:

  • LifeSharers has 11,465 members.  This represents a 25% increase over last June’s total of 9,198 members.  We have members in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
  • 10,241 LifeSharers members have qualified for preferred access to the organs of fellow members.  Members are eligible for preferred access 180 days after joining LifeSharers.
  • 73 LifeSharers members are on the United Network for Organ Sharing’s transplant waiting list.  Of these, 72 have qualified for preferred access to the organs of fellow members.

Please let us know if you are on the United Network for Organ Sharing waiting list for an organ.  We will make available to relatives of deceased members the names of LifeSharers members who have qualified for preferred access to their loved one’s organs.

Please tell your friends, family, and colleagues about LifeSharers.  Every new member decreases the chance you’ll die waiting for an organ.  Membership is free and open to all at http://www.lifesharers.org or by calling 1-888-ORGAN88.
